Toronto Things to Do + Tourist Attractions

Our Toronto Hotel: home base in the heart of the city

Perfect Day in Yorkville

From our admittedly stellar vantage point on Bloor Street West, steps from some of Toronto's most renowned attractions and locally beloved, under the radar gems, it's easy to see how it has cemented its position as one of North America's must-visit cities.

This city of more than 100 diverse neighbourhoods has so much to discover. Walk east from the hotel and you'll soon be in upscale Yorkville, with its high-end retailers and trendy restaurants. Or, head west, deeper into the Annex neighbourhood and discover a hotbed of independent culture. And that's all within a few blocks.

If you venture further, you'll find eclectic market & boutique shopping opportunities, a flourishing dining and brewery scene, more than a few chances to catch a pro sporting event and abundant green space. It's no wonder Travel + Leisure and Architectural Digest recognized Toronto among their top travel destinations in 2018.

Must-See Attractions

Defining the Toronto skyline at 553.33m (1815ft 5in) the CN Tower may be Canada's most recognizable and celebrated icon, but it's not the only sight worth seeing. While you're there, take a 1-minute walk to the adjacent Ripley's Aquarium and immerse yourself in an unbelievable underwater world. A visit to Canada would not be complete without a selfie with hockey's holy grail—the Stanley Cup—located at the nearby Hockey Hall of Fame. Feeling cultured? Take advantage of our Exclusive Experiences partnership with Canada's most illustrious museum, the ROM.

Universities

The University of Toronto's St. George campus sits practically across the street from Kimpton Saint George, while Ryerson University, OCAD University and York University are each just a short drive or TTC ride away (hop on at St. George Station). We've made it easy to stay off campus but still in the middle of all Toronto has to offer.

Annex

This dynamic neighbourhood (and home to Kimpton Saint George) is favoured by Toronto locals. Low-key indie shops, restaurants, bars and music venues as well as world-class museums can be found along the Bloor Street Culture Corridor at The Annex's southern end. Explore a bit north of Bloor and you'll find yourself among handsome historic mansions. This multi-faceted neighbourhood can keep you entertained all day and late into the evening (thanks to its vibrant nightlife scene).

Yorkville

From high fashion to fast fashion, upscale Yorkville is a shopping paradise. Once the domain of bohemians and hippies in the 1960's, the vibe is considerably chicer nowadays. Designer shops, posh boutiques, buzzy restaurants and swanky spas make this neighbourhood a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in some retail therapy.
